First Priority Movers was established in 2019 from our base at 3704 E 55th Street in South Minneapolis. Founder Zubin (“Zubz”) and office manager Nargis recognized that the moving industry in the Twin Cities was cluttered with brokerages quoting unrealistically cheap teaser rates, only to send untrained temporary day laborers who damaged antique woodwork, scratched hardwood, or ghosted clients on moving morning.
We set out to build a different kind of moving service: one that is rooted in honesty, safety, and genuine craftsmanship. Our company tagline was forged on day one: “Our focus is quality — we never cut corners, even when it's expensive.” That means investing in neoprene floor runners, high-density quilted pads, hydraulic piano dollies, and fair wages for permanent, vetted crew members.
