Terms of Service

Welcome to First Priority Movers LLC (“First Priority Movers”). By accessing our website, requesting an estimate, or booking moving services with our company, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions.

1. Estimates & Quotations

Hourly estimates for local moves are based on estimated crew time, travel time, and inventory volume provided by the client. Actual final billing reflects the real labor hours required to complete the service safely, in accordance with the agreed written estimate and applicable Minnesota Department of Transportation tariff standards. Binding quotes for long-distance moves require an accurate itemized inventory declaration.

2. Property Preparation & Access

Clients are responsible for ensuring that walkways, driveways, and curbs are clear and safe for moving equipment. During Minnesota winter operations, driveways and walkways should be reasonably shoveled and de-iced. For apartment and condominium buildings, the client is responsible for reserving elevators and loading docks.

3. Valuation & Carrier Liability

In accordance with Minnesota household goods mover regulations:

• Released Value Protection: All moves automatically include standard released value coverage at $0.60 per pound per article at no additional charge.
• Full Value Protection: Optional enhanced valuation coverage options are available upon written request prior to the start of loading.
• Items of extraordinary value (exceeding $100 per pound, such as fine jewelry or rare currency) must be declared in writing prior to transport.

4. Hazardous & Prohibited Items

First Priority Movers will not transport hazardous materials, explosives, flammable gases, bulk ammunition, corrosive chemicals, or illegal substances. Propane tanks must be disconnected and empty before loading.

5. Cancellation & Rescheduling

We understand that closing dates and lease negotiations change. We request at least 48 hours notice for cancellations or date changes. For emergency bookings, our dispatch team works flexibly to accommodate real-world scheduling shifts.
